RECOGNIZING 20 IMPACTFUL Leaders in Economic Development and business growth IN Western Canada

 The Award: 

  • TheWest20 (W20) recognizes impactful business, government, community or Indigenous leaders who are contributing to economic growth across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

 

The Criteria: 

  1. Typically between 10+ years of economic development experience 

  2. Recent or clear career progression in the arena of economic development 

  3. Impact on business growth or economic development across the West 

  4. Involvement in entrepreneurship, business expansion, trade, investment attraction, etc. 

  5. A strong leader with a commitment to building community and developing leaders

The Selection Process 

  • Nominations can be made by any person or organization 

  • Nominations can be summited by email with a brief description on how the nominee fulfils the W20 criteria. Submit to Alex.Fallon@wcef.ca 

  • All nominations will be reviewed by a W20 selection committee 

Recipients will be acknowledged on LinkedIn as a “TheWest20” recipient and will be invited to WCEF 2026 to accept the award.
